Spanish Immersion

Spanish Immersion is a special program available for students entering first grade at Bedford Heights Elementary. The program's goal is to equip English-speaking students with facility in Spanish by the end of sixth grade.

All classes attended by participants in the program - including math, science, and social studies - are taught in Spanish. English is studied and read at home. Students stay in the program through elementary school and will continue their studies in seventh grade at Bedford Junior High.

Only students entering first grade are eligible to apply for Spanish Immersion. Space is limited and the application process begins early. Contact the Bedford Heights front office or the HEB ISD Spanish Immersion office in January for more information.

HEB ISD is proud to provide elementary students with enriched educational choices beyond the traditional framework of excellent neighborhood schools. The Schools of Choice programs allow students to cultivate special talents at an early age.
